Troubleshooting Exodus

Solutions to try when you think something is stuck or when you want to learn more about Exodus.

Your first step is to make sure Developer Mode and Userscripts are enabled in your browser (Chrome LogoChrome is recommended).

Step 1. Go to chrome://extensions/ in your address bar and enable Developer Mode (top right). Then, find Tampermonkey in the list, click Details, and make sure the "Allow userscripts" toggle is enabled. A restart of the browser (close and re-open) may be necessary.

Step 2. If Exodus still doesn’t work, delete and reinstall the script. Be sure you're using the latest version.

Sometimes, Tampermonkey may bug out and stop running scripts correctly. If you run into issues, try reinstalling Tampermonkey or switch to ScriptCat.

Your Exodus key is sent to you right after your purchase confirmation email, along with setup instructions on how to install Exodus.

Step 1. Check the "Spam" section of your inbox.

Step 2. Download and install Exodus, then redeem your key on Edgenuity.

Note: Your school may use a platform like Clever, Classlink, or Geniussis (e2020). Log in through your school's portal to enter your Exodus key.

Unfortunately, if you have lost your key, we do not provide refunds or replacement keys.

Notice: Need to move your key to a new school account? We can help with key transfers (including lifetime keys). Open a support ticket in our Discord and our team will assist you.

To setup discord logging, you must first create a new Discord server, then go the the integrations tab in server settings. Create a Discord webhook, then copy the URL and paste it inside of your Exodus menu.

Auto Advance works on all activities, completely automating the Edgenuity process. If you leave the tab it may get stuck.

Fix 1. Simply disable and re-enable Auto Advance to fix it.

Fix 2. Make sure your browser is not throttling background tabs.

If you are in an Instruction or Warm-Up, ensure Auto Ungraded is toggled on. If you are in an assignment, Auto Assignment also uses Auto Advance, to which you can change delays in Auto Advance settings.

Auto Answers only work for test-like Edgenuity activities that require submission

(Examples: Pre-Tests, Unit Tests, Quizzes, Cumulative Exams, Reviews, etc.).

Auto Assignments is for activities labeled Assignment. Auto Ungraded is for ungraded activities such as Instructions or Warm-Ups. Make sure you're using the correct feature for the specific activity type.

If you're using Exodus on EdgeEX and features like Auto Ex Graded, Auto Ex Advance, Auto Ex Submit, Skip Interactive Frames, or Skip Videos (EdgeEX) are not responding, start with the usual checks first.

Make sure Tampermonkey is installed and Exodus is enabled properly. Then refresh the page, toggle Exodus off and back on, clear cache/cookies if needed, or restart your browser.

If the Exodus UI is missing, press CONTROL + SHIFT + H to unhide it.

Why is Auto EX Ungraded/Assignment not working?
Auto EX Ungraded/Assignment is currently supported on PC/Desktop only. If you are on mobile, switch to a desktop device for that feature.

💡 About Auto Ex Graded:Auto Ex Graded uses AI for EdgeEX Assessments such as quizzes, tests, and exams.

More regular Edgenuity features are coming to EdgeEX soon. Not all of them have been added yet.

If you're still having trouble or want help checking a specific feature, open a ticket in the Discord.

If you can’t see the Exodus menu, make sure it’s installed correctly and that your browser extension (Tampermonkey) is enabled.

Try refreshing the page or toggling Exodus off and back on, and closing and re-opening your browser (Chrome).

If you’ve hidden the Exodus UI, unhide it with the keybind CONTROL + SHIFT + H.

If the issue still persists, check the "I’VE ENABLED THE SCRIPT BUT NOTHING IS HAPPENING" guide or open a ticket in the Discord.

If you have Auto Ungraded enabled, this is expected. Ungraded activities are completion-based, so Exodus submits random answers to move through them quickly — the grade doesn’t matter.

What about EdgeEX quizzes/tests?
On EdgeEX, our AI may occasionally miss certain question types it doesn’t recognize during quizzes and tests. When this happens, you can either skip the question and come back to it, or look it up manually.

This only affects unrecognized question formats on graded assessments — activities like Assignments and Instructions work as expected. EdgeEX support is actively being improved.

The Proctorio Spoofer is a separate Windows app from the regular Exodus userscript. If you bought a Proctorio Spoofer key, here's everything you need.

Where to download
Go to exodusbot.net/proctorio-spoofer/download and download the Windows x64 build.

Setup
Step 1. Right-click ExodusProctorioSpoofer-windows-x64.zip and choose Extract All. Desktop or Documents works fine.

Step 2. Double-click ExodusProctorioSpoofer.exe inside the extracted folder. If Windows shows a blue SmartScreen warning, click More info then Run anyway. Only happens once.

Step 3. Paste your key from your order email, check Remember this key, and click Unlock.

Step 4. Click New Profile, name it whatever, then hit Launch. Sign into your school portal in the window that opens. Open your exam, let Proctorio run prechecks, and Exodus does the rest.

Troubleshooting
App crashes or shows an error on launch. You're probably missing the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. Install it from aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe, then re-open the app.

App opens, then closes (or Defender shows a "Bearfoos" warning). This is a false positive from Windows Defender. It quietly deletes the files, which is why the app vanishes on launch.
1. Open Windows SecurityVirus & threat protectionManage settings, and turn off Real-time protection.
2. Re-extract the zip into a fresh folder.
3. Run ExodusProctorioSpoofer.exe.
Windows turns protection back on automatically. To stop this from happening again, add that folder under Manage settingsExclusions.

Browser blocked the download. In Chrome, click the arrow next to the blocked file and choose Keep anyway. If Windows Defender blocks it, toggle off Real-time protection long enough to download, then turn it back on. The app is new and not yet signed by Microsoft, which is why this happens. It isn't harmful.

System requirements
• Windows 10 (build 1809 or later) or Windows 11
• 64-bit processor (ARM not supported)
• About 600 MB free disk space

Note: macOS is coming soon. There is no Chromebook, Linux, or iPhone version. If you bought a key but don't have access to a Windows PC, open a ticket in our Discord.
